We are looking for a Intern to join our APM team. Internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in working with cutting-edge application performance management solutions and an experienced multinational team.
This is an Office-Based position with shifts during the day and afternoon.
Position will be offered for a period of 6 Months on a paid Definite Contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of APM tools (e.g., graylog, New Relic, dpa, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Systematically investigate, accurately report on, appropriately escalate, and effectively resolve all assigned tickets in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor application performance metrics, including response times, throughput, error rates, and resource utilisation.
- Support in analysing performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential performance issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Help create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to visualise application health and performance.
- Participate in performance testing activities and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.
- Document APM configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in researching new APM technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to root cause analysis of production incidents related to application performance.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT operations.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, C#) is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a challenging environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in application performance, system monitoring, and optimising software.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field would be a plus.
